If you are planning a trip to Europe, Barcelona should be at the top of the list. The weather was incredible, the people were super friendly and the food was hands down the best we had our entire honeymoon! The gothic quarter was my favorite area. The architecture was breathtaking. We decided to go on a “hop on, hop off” bus tour (cheesy but worth it). It took us to all the hot tourist spots including the Sagrada Familia, which is a must-see.
In Barcelona, we stayed at the Vincci Gala, a modern style hotel. Their breakfast was delicious and was included in our package. Another aspect of this hotel that I loved was the security at night, which I like because I am super paranoid after watching taken.
It’s walking distance from the gothic quarter and McDonalds, which is obviously really important. Also, not sure why all McDonalds are SO much nicer in Europe? I would love to drive up and grab some macarons and pastries on a daily basis but ANYWAYS.
Also, Barcelona doesn’t have Uber (first world probs) but there was a taxi stop right outside of the hotel which made getting around extremely convenient.
Okay, So Brunch and Cake has colorful and unique meals-Insta worthy meals. Mark got a bagel and it came with mac and cheese. Like what? Heaven.
Barraca was more of a lunch spot and it is right on the beach. If any of y’all watch my Instagram stories… this is the place that served me the ENTIRE fish (eyes, teeth, body, everything) Mark made me eat it and… I liked it.
Keeping this one short and sweet. We need Tapas Bars in Dallas ASAP. Three dollar wine, a huge selection of mini baguettes sandwiches, and shrimp that literally melts in your mouth.
